Remote Access
vs. Purchase
"You can acquire the OpenMet system
by remote access (ASP) or by purchase (in-house)"
Remote Access (ASP)
- No hardware needs to be installed at your company. Access
to the OpenMet system is made over the Internet
- The OpenMet system and your company’s information are
housed on servers that OpenMet Group has on the Internet. You
don’t have to involve your Information Systems Department.
OpenMet Group takes care of the Internet connection, maintenance,
updates and system backups and guarantees the confidentiality
and protection of your data.
- All standard surveys are available for your use, on top of
any you may create
- Financial advantage to not making an investment in assets
but taking on an operating cost instead
- The remote access price depends on the number of questionnaires
used and stored on the system. Only questionnaires received
are counted, not sent out

Purchase (In-house)
- The OpenMet system is installed on a server provided by the
company, with which you get a completely private OpenMet system;
just for you. Access to the OpenMet system can be made over
the Intranet or Internet using your standard email program and
an Internet search engine
- The OpenMet system and your company’s information are
housed on your company’s server. Your Information Services
Department is in charge of the management of the system (hardware,
Internet/Intranet connectivity, backups, security and basic
maintenance)
- The number of questionnaires you can use is limited. The purchase
price depends on the functionality acquired in the end
